Bodog Awards First Seats to the 2009 World Series of Poker* Main Event
As the final cards were being dealt at this year's World Series of Poker* in Las Vegas , three Bodog online poker players were already being dealt seats to the 2009 WSOP* Main Event. The three seats are the first to be awarded by any online poker site and were won in the final tournament of the Bodog Poker Mini Series, a 25-tournament series mirroring the Holdem events at the World Series in Las Vegas but with buy-ins equal to just one percent of the actual buy-in of the WSOP* Main Event.

After battling through a field 0f 2,447 players the final table for Event No. 36 - $1,500 No Limit Holdem - was set early this morning at the 2008 WSOP, and one of the nine who made it to that final table was Team Bodog poker player Aaron "Gotcha55″ Kanter.
Best known for his fourth-place finish at the 2005 World Series of Poker Main Event, in which he cashed for $2 million, Kanter has racked up four WSOP cashes since then, including two this year alone. He has also built a solid reputation online for his prowess in massive multi-table online poker tournaments.

Bodog Announce Miniature World Series of Poker
Bodog have announced a cheaper option for those not jetting off to Vegas next month for the World Series of Poker – a series of online tournaments replicating the 25 Hold‘em events of the festival for a fraction of the price.
At the culmination of the series’ 25 tournaments, a final tournament will be hosted on July 10 awarding three seats to the 2009 WSOP Main Event. This makes Bodog the first site to offer seats to next year’s tournament.
The event will run from May 30, starting off on the same day as the $10,000 World Championship Pot Limit Hold‘em event with a $100+$9 PLHE tournament.
Bodog Poker Announces Mini-SOP Online Tournament Series
To celebrate the biggest poker tournament in the world, Bodog is launching a new online poker tournament series this summer that will mirror all 25 Holdem events of the 2008 World Series of Poker in Las Vegas at just a fraction of the buy-in.
The Bodog Poker Mini-SOP will run from May 30-July 3 with each tournament held on the same date as its counterpart in Las Vegas but with buy-ins equal to just 1 percent of the actual buy-in of the WSOP Event. After the completion of the series' 25 events, Bodog will host a final tournament on July 10 that will award three seats to the 2009 WSOP Main Event, making Bodog the first online poker site to give away seats to next summer's Main Event.
