Lee Markholt Wins World Poker Challenge Event at Grand Sierra Resort and Casino

Grand Sierra Resort and Casino welcomed 261 players and a $1.8 million prize pool for the four-day World Poker Tour World Poker Challenge March 25-28. Lee Markholt won the event and took home $468,315 along with a $25,000 seat in the World Poker Tour Championships at Bellagio in Las Vegas on April 19. He was also awarded the World Poker Challenge 2008 winner’s bracelet.

Bryan Devonshire won the second place prize of $271,625 and Zachary Hyman finished third winning $149,862. In fourth place, Jason Potter walked away with $103,030 followed by David “The Dragon” Pham in fifth, who won $93,664. Closing up the final table in sixth place was Jeffrey DeWitt winning $84,297.
