World Series of Poker Releases its 2008-2009 WSOP Circuit Schedule
The World Series of Poker (WSOP) just announced the official schedule for its 2008-2009 season of circuit events, which are played the year at casinos that Harrah's owns throughout the United States.
The high-stakes poker tournaments provide poker enthusiasts of all levels the opportunity to compete on a regional basis in a variety of events that include the opportunity to win a seat in the 2009 World Series of Poker Main Event in Las Vegas.
"Playing World Series of Poker Circuit events is the best way to hone your live tournament poker skills in a friendly and competitive environment," said Jeffrey Pollack, Commissioner of the World Series of Poker. "We continue to fine tune the World Series of Poker Circuit schedule and structures to deliver poker players the best tournaments throughout the year."
Caesars Indiana will kick off the 2008-2009 World Series of Poker Circuit on October 2, 2008, while Harrah's New Orleans will close out the 2008-2009 circuit with their tourney on May 8, 2009.
Circuit stops will include Harrah's properties in Hammond (Chicago area), Lake Tahoe (Nevada), Atlantic City (new Jersey), Tunica (Mississippi), Council Bluffs (Iowa), Rincon (Southern California), Las Vegas and New Orleans (Mississippi) .
